website design terms and conditions of business

Before you order your website design package and optional extras from debbidoo, please ensure you read the following terms and conditions carefully. If you need any help or clarification, please get in touch.

staged payments policy

In order to provide our website design services at such low prices, we need to receive payment for your website and associated optional extras in stages throughout the course of the project.

The first 50% of the total project fee will be invoiced, and must be paid, before commencement of work.

A further 25% of the total project fee will be invoiced, and must be paid, on sign-off of the template (template design and build for bespoke website design clients, template customisation for template website design clients) and before your website pages are populated and the site goes live.

The remaining 25% will be invoiced once the website is live, and payment must be received within 30 days or we reserve the right to disable the website and email addresses, and withhold all relevant passwords, until payment is received.

After the final payment is received, we will send you our welcome document which contains all relevant passwords and access instructions.

amendments (bespoke website design clients)

To reduce the amount of time spent on amendments to your bespoke design, we will ask you to provide a detailed brief before work commences. We will help you to do this by providing a form for you to complete and return to us - we will provide full support to help you with this, should you need it.

Before building the website template we will send you a JPG mockup of our proposed design, which is based on the information provided by you during the briefing process. We include three rounds of revisions to this mockup in the website design package fee, and any further amendments will be charged at £40 per hour.

copyright and ownership

You will own your domain, your website pages and copyright of the website text.

You will not own the copyright to any images sourced by debbidoo, either from our own stock image library or from any other provider of stock images.

site credits

We will place a discreet “website design by debbidoo” link at the bottom of each page of your website.

Some stock images may need to carry image credits. We will let you know if this is the case with any images that we source for you.

free support - reasonable use policy

Our website design packages include ongoing free support, subject to a reasonable use policy. To clarify - minor alterations to your website (for example adding/deleting/replacing content on existing pages, changing contact details, setting up a new email address, etc) are considered 'reasonable use' . Major alterations (for example creating new pages, changes to the design, etc) are not included in our free support, and will be charged at £40 per hour.
